About Hendrix DL2870
Hendrix is the sweetest little dog who just wants love and to be with you all the time. He will follow you everywhere – and will take your shoe to his bed to snuggle with if he can!
He loves playing with his toys (balls, ropes, chew toys, soft toys, squeaky toys, puzzle toys) and is not destructive. He is very smart and picks up new cues quickly – but needs a gentle voice as he tends to swap into submissive mode if he thinks he has done the wrong thing. He also loves a sniffy walk and is very gentle on lead.
He's not a fan of being left home alone and needs someone who is home often and can help him work on this. He would be a great buddy for a work-at-home person, as he loves to snooze nearby when you are busy tapping away on your computer.
He is looking for a quiet home with not a lot of comings-and-goings. He's nervous with new people, particularly men, and dogs (even if they are on TV – but he's getting better at watching TV!). He has the potential to make doggy friends with a slow introduction, so you'll just need to take the time to work on socialisation with him. He's too excitable around cats, and kids are too scary for a nervous pup.
Hendrix has already learned come, sit, lie down, and wait. Plus, he's already housetrained and okay with being bathed. He's already off to a good start with his training and will only grow in confidence while you continue to work with him!
If you'd love to welcome Hendrix into your life, email DFL today to apply.
