About Jet ~ 3yr Old Staffordshire BT(Rev.Apps27/6/22)
Meet Jet, this cuddly 3yr old Staffordshire bull terrier is looking for a place to call home.
This gorgeous boy is full of energy and is extremely affectionate, he has not quite grasped the concept of personal space. He is either following you around, sitting in your lap or sitting close by.
Jet loves to be inside and part of the family. He is very excitable but eventually calms down and has an otherwise sweet disposition. He loves pats and belly rubs, and only has love to give! Given Jets need to be close by and needs to be welcomed inside when someone is home. He also likes to sleep on your bed but when told to ‘get down’ he will also happily sleep on his own bed that is placed in the bedroom. He is quite the snorer, but is otherwise a good boy at bedtime!
Jet has currently been living with 3 other dogs and has mostly gotten along well with them. Jet has not been exposed to cats or pocket pets since being in care but given his excitability they would not be suitable companions. Jet would definitely need to meet any current pets.
Jet is still learning basic commands like sit, stay, and down. He is improving with sitting and waiting for food and has learnt some recall.
Jet has only recently been desexed so he is still learning about boundaries with other dogs, and acceptable places to pee. When walking with Jet, he is initially pulls on the lead but eventually settles and improves with time. Jet is a medium sized dog, but is quite boisterous. When he’s excited, he can jump and can be snappy when people are in his face or when trying to gain attention. Therefore, Jets ideal home would be with a family or an individual owner that does not have young children and preferably not any elderly owners.
Overall, Jet would greatly benefit from an active, family that would be committed to his continued training to improve quality of living! Jet would definitely need a backyard that has 6ft secured colourbond or similiar fencing as Jet has shown off his athletic abilities on a couple of occasions. Please consider your fencing and outside environment before applying to adopt Jet, we will conduct a yard check to ensure fencing is secure.
For more information on Jet, please contact his foster carer on their email cherie.simone@mua.org.au. Jett is in foster care in Elermore Vale, NSW and is available for
adoption interstate. Jets adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Jet please fill out the adoption application form here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt.
