About Odie
This beautiful affectionate kelpie boy, Odie, is approximately three years old.
A typical kelpie in terms of his boundless energy, he loves to chase balls and dares his canine friends to keep up with him. While in foster care, Odie has shared his life with another foster puppy who has become his best friend, as well as two older canine residents who he has treated with due respect.
With the most gentle nature, he loved affection and has lovely manners when it comes to food, and gently takes treats when offered. Odie has excellent recall and is excellent with other dogs. He is very focused on livestock, displaying a keen herding instinct – and is very enthusiastic when in the vicinity of chickens.
Odie has not had a great deal of training and needs reminding to sit and stay, but he is very good on the lead. He will need dedicated training to reach his full potential. He has been sleeping in a dog crate at night and although it is not his favourite place to be he doesn’t complain too much.
This lovely boy would thrive in a rural environment with lots of space to run with other canine buddies. He is an absolute gem and will become a fabulous friend to anyone lucky enough to take him into their home.
If Odie sounds like the pal for you, then we would love to hear from you!
Odie is located in Vic…

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
