About Monty
My favourite pastime is smothering my humans in love. I’m the friendliest boy who LIVES for cuddling, and I double as a pretty nifty weighted blanket should I be lucky enough to sleep on your bed!
I’m a champion snoozer (they say I’m LAZY!), happy to nap the day away. I’m quiet and chill, but I recently discovered destroying a squeaky toy can be pretty enjoyable- I’m SUPER proud of my new skill. I don’t mind if you have a big backyard as long as you’ve got somewhere for poops, honestly I’d rather hug than play or run around.
My foster sister has been on the receiving end of a few of my snuggles and she said they’re pretty good, I even fell asleep on her once or twice, she made a good pillow! I’m unbothered if you do have to leave me alone, and I’ll catch up on sleep til you get home, but I have so much love to give that my ultimate new fam would be around a lot so I can smother you with my special Monty brand of love for as many hours as we can squeeze in to the day.
Apparently I’m a cool dancer, I show them my moves at dinner time as I really love my food, and I get so carried away I’ve even crashed into stuff and this makes everyone laugh. In my head I’m just a little fella but I always get stuck on the furniture and I bonk my head on stuff trying to squeeze through, oops!
I guess you could say I’m funny, handsome AND loving (a perfect 10!) and I’ll be expecting lots of people to line up to get my clumsy cuddles forever! Fill out my application now.

Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
https://greytgreys.org/adoption-form/
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $350.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
