About Chester
Chester is one out of the box! This confident and independent stumpy-tailed Australian Cattle Dog is about 6 months old.
He is learning to sit and stay and, being very food motivated, is making great progress. Did someone say ‘food’? Chester loves nothing more than breakfast and dinner time!
Chester is great with other dogs and is very keen on doggy playtime. While in foster care, Chester has shared his life with another foster dog who has become his best friend, as well as two older canine residents who he has finally realised don’t really want to play.
He walks well on a lead and is slowly learning to calm down around food and his recall has improved greatly since being in care! Although he can be a little stubborn if his attention is focused elsewhere. Chester is great around chickens, that is, he doesn’t find them very interesting. He hasn’t been tested on cats. He’s not particularly interested in livestock either– although if anyone is getting anything special to eat, his interest suddenly appears!
Chester will happily go into his dog crate at night, particularly as treats are involved, but he takes a while to settle down. He is still coming to terms with toilet training, but has greatly improved since being in foster care.
Chester will need ongoing dedicated training as he is very smart and he responds well to routine and boundaries. He will also need the exercise and mental stimulation so essential to this breed to prevent him from becoming bored. He would love to be with other dogs.
Chester: a bundle of energy and a very adventurous spirit. He has a beautiful personality and will be a lifelong friend.

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
