About Flossie
Our senior girl Flossie is ready to find her retirement home.
Flossie is a Chihuahua x (our guess) Pomeranian. She is a tiny girl weighing around 4 kilograms. Date of birth estimated 5/3/2011 - 11 years and 2 months young!
Flossie needs a quiet, supportive adult only home, where someone is home a lot. She is happy to share with other dogs and cats.
Flossie has been in our care since early March 2022. She has had extensive dental work, been desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. Having recovered from all of that we are now comfortable starting the next phase of her life.
Flossie is not completely toilet trained. She has improved a lot since coming in but still has the occassional accident. If she had a doggy door with independent access to outide she may master the toiletting.
Flossie will need a secure yard to have access too. She will dig to get to where she wants to go if the fencing is not secure - no soft edges or gaps in fencing.
With new people Flossie can be unsure hence the need for a quiet home. Flossie will need time to adjust to any new people and her new home. Once that trust is built she is a loving, happy little companion.
PARH has invested significant $$ (over $3,000) in getting Flossie ready for her next home. She goes to her new home flea and worm treated, vaccinated, desexed, microchipped, had dental clean and extractions. Her adoption fee is $400.
We will be very selective on the home Flossie will go too.
If you think you can offer Flossie a loving, quiet, patient retirement home please email us at Phoenixarh@outlook.com
Anyone adopting Flossie have to be prepared for continued dental cleans for the remainder of her life.

Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
