About Tanner

Tanner is around 8-12 months old… actually that’s a best guess really. He has the softy puppy fur and certainly just wants to play play play. So it’s an indication that he is still pretty young.
Sadly he doesn’t really know any basic commands just yet, but he seems pretty smart so we are sure he will catch on quick.
He gets on great with other dogs as long as they don’t mind a puppy in your face type of play and good news is he is not phased by cats.
His new owner must have the time to dedicate to his training. They will either take him to an approved dog obedience club or engage the services of a qualified trainer to ensure no more time is wasted on this boys education.
He needs to learn down time and respect for other dogs… a dog park is not the ideal environment for this sort of education so if that’s your idea of doggy exercise please don’t apply for Tanner.
He will benefit from family adventures, hikes, trick training and all those other fun activities.

**PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE SENDING AN ENQUIRY OR CALLING US!**
OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1.) You see a dog you like.
2.) Fill in our online adoption form by emailing us on farmdogzrescueinc@gmail.com
3.) Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.
5.) If you are successfully shortlisted, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a time for you to meet the dog in question.
6.) A yard check will need to be conducted at your home.
7.) Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. 8.) The adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
9.) During the 2 week trial period, we encourage you to follow all our instructions to ensure the dog settles into your family structure
10.) If during the trail period you should need any assistance or you decide that this dog is not for you, you are encouraged to contact our state adoptions coordinator ASAP. (The more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available.)
Please note if the decision is made for you to return the dog your payment will be refunded to you in full, within 5 business days of the return of the dog.

We only consider applicants that have completed our adoption application form. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
