About Stirrup
Stirrup is a handsome 1 year old Kelpie boy who is affectionate, and loves a good snuggle! He is a social dog who bonds quickly with people, and is eager to please.
Stirrup is an active boy who loves the water. He is developing his inside manners and has shown that he knows how to 'sit', 'drop', 'wait' 'come' and 'leave it'. He walks with confidence on a loose lead and generally travels well in the car. Stirrup shows manners around food and is very gentle when taking treats.
Stirrup is keen to get to know other dogs and plays well with them. He shows no interest in horses or cattle. He is fully crate trained and sleeps through the night. He likes to stay close to the house and will happily lie at your feet when the opportunity arises.
Stirrup settled quickly in foster care, and now loves nothing more than a boisterous chase and rumble with his siblings of both sexes. He has shown some interest in the resident cat and does display low level herding instincts.
As he is still learning personal space, Stirrup would be best for a family with older children. He would make a great companion for someone on rural property, small acreage, or quiet non-built up suburbia. Ongoing training will bring out the best in this young man.
Stirrup is located in NSW...
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
