About Milo
*In foster care in Enmore, Sydney*
Milo instantly lights up any room with his positive and boundless energy!
This gorgeous boy is super-smart, focused and curious by nature, which leads to incredibly fun and productive training sessions! If you're an active person, couple or family who can keep up with his need for constant attention and enrichment, you'll have a best friend for life.
While he doesn't really seek out pats or cuddles, Milo can be a total couch slug and loves falling asleep on his humans' laps :) He'll follow you around and supervise your activities with interest, then mosey off for a snooze - often contorting himself into the strangest and most hilarious yoga poses!
Milo equally adores a good romp around the backyard and adventures out in the world, and will definitely benefit from an outdoorsy, hands-on lifestyle with his new people.
Like all Maggie's pets, Milo is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'm still trying to learn how to be my best self, and will thrive in an environment where my family can put in the extra time to keep up my training. I'm still a puppy, after all!
Ideally I'll need a large grassy backyard, and an abundance of interactive play time. I'm already toilet-trained, but if you don't have any grassy areas where I can do my business, a little more training may be required.
I am accustomed to being left outside alone for short periods, though I'll need some sturdy toys (like a Kong) to keep me entertained while you're gone! I love to chew, so don't bother buying me any of the cute soft ones as they generally last all of twenty minutes...
Being so curious and excitable, I'm easily distracted and disturbed by ambient noises but find joy in watching birds. A location that has minimal street traffic and lots of trees to watch and play among would be just perfect for me!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: If you could harness my energy, you'd be able to power a small country! As a young dog I can usually be found either running around madly, playing or sleeping :) My favourite games include tug-o-war and fetch!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: As a strong and fairly sizeable dog, I might be a bit much for little ones unfortunately. I'm a lover not a fighter, but my enthusiasm and energy mean I sometimes jump or bump when I probably shouldn't. This may change as I progress with my training.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I love other dogs so much, but I'm still learning my manners when I'm around them. I'll bow politely when one is nearby, but then when they get close enough - I jump up in excitement! This can be a bit overwhelming for the other dog and I would likely do best with a confident, older companion that doesn't mind a play but also can also teach me how to chill.
I've only ever seen cats when I'm out on my walks, so it'd hard to know how I'd react living with one.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
