About Leo
How to best describe Leo?! Well, this sweet little guy has gone through hell in his past but doesn't allow it to cloud his future. Leo is a cup half full kind of dog that doesn't get beat down easily.
Leo is a small dog, only 11 kg, and loves people and adventure. Going for a walk is the best treat, as he was never taken on one after his first few months. He is learning not to take off like a freight train and we believe the more bonded he becomes with his people the easier it will be to have him mastering the walks, but the hard work has already been completed.
We should warn, Leo is a very smart pooch and picks up on new training really quick. We believe for the first time he feels actually alive, so his brain is working overtime like a young pup's.
Although Leo is generally good with other dogs, he would be better suited for a home without other pets so he can finally get the attention he has never had before. A home with another similar sized female dog will be considered upon a successful meet and greet.
Leo will do well with human company more often than not and due to his lack of exposure with the world (and nasty little human neighbours), a more adult home would suit best, although calm and experienced children will definitely be considered.
In the beginning, Leo can be a little shy but it dies off pretty fast and he will be rolling for belly rubs before you can say his name.
Leo will benefit if his humans have experience with neglect cases and will let him take his time to come out of his shell.
Due to his lifelong isolation from life, dog parks are definitely a no for Leo, at least at the initial stages. With time, our trainers believe he can be easily introduced to groups of small dogs that won't try to be dominant with him, as he never learned as a youngster how to react and explain his limitations without escalating.
If you believe Leo is the best match for your family, please, more than sending the filled form below, also shoot us an email or text explaining in what ways your lifestyle will match Leo's:
