About Maxine & Tilly (Bonded pair)
About Beautiful older ladies *Maxine & Tilly…….a bonded pair
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
My name is Maxine .... I'm the beautiful Stumpy Tail Manx. The Manx is one of the oldest known cat breeds. Many wonderful legends surround the origin of this breed. The most interesting, but also least genetically accurate, is that the Manx was napping when Noah called all the animals into the ark. She awakened just as Noah was closing the door of the ark. She made it in the ark just in time but Noah accidentally closed the door on her tail, cutting it off entirely. My breed have what is known as a double coat so it's best to give me a quick brush each day.....which I love! We are known for our placid, sweet nature. I never seem to get too upset about anything. I am a loving companion, happy go lucky and I adore being with people. I will love being around my new owner.
I'm Tilly the gorgeous, unmistakable Calico cat in the photo. It's a fact that almost all calico cats are female because of the unique chromosomal makeup that determines the colour variations in their coats. Saying this, Calico doesn't relate to a breed of cat but my colour pattern. Calico cats are named for their coat colour that resembles calico cloth, which was once imported to Europe from India. I not only extremely pretty but my foster mum says I have a beautiful nature. I'm gentle, quiet and there is nothing I love more than being picked up and cuddled. I'm not opposed to being showered with kisses either. In returned you will receive purrs, a little chatter at times, head pumps and cuddles in return when I try to get as close to you as possible.
Ages: 9 & 11 years old
My Ideal Home:
Our ideal home is one where we can live together in a quiet peaceful environment filled with love and cuddles with no other pets.
We really enjoy seeing what's going on outside, so an enclosed verandah or balcony would lovely.
A good view from windows and doors with screens would be nice too. We really wouldn't mind an older family but would be a better fit in a quiet, retired fur home were we can be at one with our calm owners.
Please consider giving us a home in our twilight years..... we really are no trouble, just a whole lot of love.
What is Known About My Background:
We were surrendered by a loving family that could no longer care for us due to unforeseen circumstances.
Both of us were much loved and beautifully cared for and our mum and dad were very sad to see us go. A testament to our upbringing is how gentle and calm we are, with lovely manners and well socialised.
We both have had a full vet check and have a clean bill of health. Desexed, wormed & fully vaccinated.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
We are very nice with kids and some dogs and cats, having had a little human sister and a fur brother dog.
Even so, we would really prefer at this time in our lives to be only pets. If you have a very sleepy and slow older dog please ask my foster mum and she will have a talk to you about us.
