Oakey

This little bundle of sweetness is Miss OAKEY, a highly affectionate tricolour Beagle, born on 20 August 2020.

At only 12 kgs, she is underweight for the size of her frame, but we're doing our best to fatten her up.

Oakey's backstory is not a happy one. Suffice to say, she's craves love, affection and company because it's been in short supply in her life so far.

Sweet and puppy-like, she's a playful girl, but not sure about toys. She wants to play with them, but is uncertain how they work.

She doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body and is good with other dogs, but is easily intimidated by confident canines.

She's an inquisitive girl and enjoys a walk, although she is not lead-trained - yet. Speaking of training, she's a blank canvas in this respect. She doesn't know her name or any basic commands and has no recall, although she's happy to greet any human if it means she gets some love, affection and attention.

More than anything, Oakey needs a loving, kind and patient home with a family who are prepared to help this little girl reach her full potential.

Preference will be given to a home where someone is around most of the time. If there is another compatible dog, that's fine too. Prior experience with Beagles will be highly regarded.

As always, secure fencing is essential.

Oakey's adoption fee is $895 and she is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
