About Ellie
About Ellie
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Those ears! How can you go past them?!? Ellie is a sweet and energetic puppy who is eager to please and love her people. She is slowly learning what is expected of her, though she does have the energy levels of a large pup. Ellie loves tug-o-war with the other dogs and loves throwing a stuffed toy around in the air. She has started chasing the tennis ball, but returning it is still being learnt!
My Ideal Home:
Ellie will need an active home. She is full of energy and without the proper training and time spent with her, she will become a naughty bored dog. She would enjoy the company of another dog to get all of that puppy energy out, but could equally be as happy with an energetic lifestyle.
Children over 5 years might be better as Ellie can be jumpy when excited and may bowl small children over.
Ellie is a fun and goofy big pup looking for someone with a kind heart but able to provide the training needed to turn this excited and energetic puppy into a well-mannered and lovely dog.
If you are Newcastle based we can arrange to meet you a little further down the valley if need be. We'd just really love to see Ellie find her perfect home and I know she will thrive even more once she finds that little safe haven with her own family's routines.
What is Known About My Background:
Ellie was picked up as stray and taken to a rural animal shelter. She served her impoundment period and was brought into the care of Hunter Animal Rescue.
It appears that Ellie has not had the best nutrition in her life and her back legs are slightly bowed outwards. This does not cause any problems for her to continue to behave like a normal, healthy, active puppy.
Ellie potentially has Bull Terrier in her mix. Her face is showing signs of a roman nose and a second dog with this breeding came into the shelter at the same time.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
Ellie is in foster care with other dogs and adores them. Being a puppy she is quite submissive when told off by the other dogs. Currently she is just a big goofy pup whose energy is endless.
She has been with children 5 years and above and whilst she is jumpy, she is not scared or nasty toward them. Just over excited still.
Ellie seems to be pretty happy just to watch the cats walk by. She doesn't really know what they are and is too busy exploring to really care.
We are very impressed with Ellie's manners when it comes to chickens and ducks, She has shown no interest in them, even if they're flapping near by.
