About Danny and Tundra
Cute is an understatement. These two little faces are the most adorable and social creatures. Danny and Tundra are very close and thrive on their daily cuddle sessions together. Did you know that a guinea pig lives its happiest life with a mate of their own species they can 'talk', play, and cuddle with?
Besides their daily cuddling sessions, they're also happy to have their own quality time. Danny and Tundra are very used to humans and other animals. They lived with dogs, cats and kiddos (5+) before but were not particularly bothered by anything. If there's too much noise or movement, they'll peacefully hide in their safe place.
Both boys are very tame, and they're happy to be picked up and held. They'll let you know if it's time to go down by rumble strutting or simply moving away. Danny and Tundra are extremely friendly and put up with almost any amount of excitement from the little ones they lived with.
They have an inquisitive nature and will sniff the air to search for the source of good smells. Sometimes, they'll put their front paws on the edge of their food bowl while eating or even rest their little heads in the bowl.
Danny and Tundra love lying down curled up or stretched out while sleeping or relaxing. They recognise the sound of footsteps, the fridge opening and vegetables being chopped, and they will politely ask for food or attention by weeking.
They don't particularly like baths or nail clipping but have never made a fuss about it. Danny and Tundra love comfy things, like soft blankets, pillows, hay and sawdust. Not to forget their favourite hammock, jumping onto the top level, grass, carrot, celery sticks and well as ice bricks on the hotter days.
The boys have alternated between outdoor and indoor cages throughout their life. They especially enjoy being outdoors on the grass. They've been in floor cages, travel cages and indoor and outdoor double-level cages with ramps. They've shown an excellent level of adaptability throughout all these changes.
Note: Danny and Tundra are located in Coes Creek QLD
Medical notes
Danny and Tundra are two fit and healthy lads, although Tundra has a condition called Pea Eye ( i.e. Fatty Eye) in both eyes. This has not affected him and is widely considered harmless. Sometimes, they can be a little picky with veggies like tomatoes, beans, and cucumber, but they happily eat grains, seeds, and grass.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
