About Barklay
Introducing Barklay!
This boy is so full of love and is ready to be somebody's best friend!! š¤©
Barklay is a young wolfie x who will make a fantastic companion for a family with older kids, a couple or any single person.
He doesn't yet understand his size and is still learning that he can't give cuddles by jumping up and wrapping his arms over your shoulders. He is very receptive to training and already knows how to sit, stay, shake and is learning how to walk with a haltiš¦®. BUT, there is absolutely no convincing him that he isn't a lap dog, no matter what, he will find a way to curl up on you! š„°
He is fine with most dogs, but would also be OK as an only dog as long as he got plenty of attention and a daily walk. This will also help with any tendencies to chew things he shouldn't. He protects his yard and growls if other dogs approach the fence, this can also follow-through to when he is out walking on a lead. He loves water and going for a swim - at the pool or at the beach.
Although he still has that puppy energy when it comes to play time or when his humans get home, he is already an old man and would much prefer to cuddle for hours. He loves a game of fetch, but will usually trot back to his bed after 10 retrievals. He also has no desire to escape the yard and hasn't made any effort to jump over the 4ft fence in foster.
He has not officially been tested with cats and has only greeted them through a door with lots of playful energy. (Hence why foster mum was not let him in to test it with old/slow cats) š±
He will be perfect for anyone who has lots of love to share and the ability to provide some additional training so he can be the perfect pet and best mate for life š¶-
