Meet Nashi!

Sweet as the pear that he is named after, Nashi is eagerly awaiting his forever home.

Nashi has a big, cheerful personality. He is very playful and likes to engage with the two resident dogs who he is currently residing with. He also loves to try and play with the two resident cats and will respectfully give them space when they need it.

Nashi’s breed is unconfirmed Australian heeler cross. Given the potential for either working or hunting bloodlines, an active home committed to ongoing training is a must. Already Nashi is showing his smarts by sitting, shaking hands, and waiting for his food. This boy has got potential and would be a fantastic addition to any family.

Although Nashi has yet to be tested with children, given his age and temperament, with the correct guidance and training he could be well-suited to a home with children.

Nashi has that classic puppy curiosity which can sometimes lead to him finding things he shouldn’t. He can be destructive, so it’d be wise to leave those favourite pair of shoes somewhere safe while he is learning boundaries and defining what is and isn’t a “toy”.

Nashi can get upset when he is left alone for long periods of time. He tends to whine and bark when he is missing his two-legged friends. Creating a stimulating and fun environment for him to play in while you’re not around will be essential.
