About Biscuit
Hi my name is Biscuit (Bicky) and I am an 8 year old small mixed breed dog.
When I first came into Chihuahua Rescue I was a very frightened little dog and just didn't know who to trust but after a few months of love and patience from my Foster Mum I am a very different little furbaby.
I am still a work in progress though and will need someone who has time, patience and lots of love to give. In return I will give you so much pure love and loyalty in return you will wonder how you ever got along without me.
Some of the things you should know are about me are that;
* I really love my food and am a little overweight. I eat both wet and dry food.
* I am happy to go for walks and walk really well on my lead.
* I love going for rides in the car and sitt happily in the back seat in my seatbelt.
* I am very alert when unknown people are around and will bark to let you know.
* I sit on command for my food or when offered treats.
* I am very hesitant and become anxious when meeting new people so will need to be approached in a very calm and non-threatening manner.
It has taken a while and a lot of patience and love for me to trust even my Foster Mum but she could see something special in me and has allowed me the time I needed to accept that cuddles are just what I needed.
I really don't like cats and would be more that happy to be an only furbaby
I would prefer to be in a home where there are no children and if it were just me and a lovely lady life could be perfect
I'm not sure why but men and children frighten me.
It has taken a little while but now that I have learnt to trust a one human again I have realised just how good it can feel to cuddle or just to sit at their feet knowing I'm safe and loved.
I also love to sleep on the bed but am just as happy sleeping in my on bed as long as I can be close to you.
I just need someone who will love me as much has I can love them.
Medical notes
8 year old Biscuit is desexed and microchipped and is up to date with his C5 vaccination, as well as flea, tick, heart worm and intestinal worm prevention.
He has recently had a dental with one tooth extracted and has recovered well.
Biscuit was a bit overweight when he came to us and has since lost about 500g, and he may need to continue watching his waistline as it will help his joints. He currently has mild to moderate patella luxation but shows no signs of lameness at home therefore he doesn’t require surgery at this stage. We would suggest starting him on a joint support.
