About Pearl
Meet Pearl!
Pearl is a sweet little Foxie x. This lovely older lady came into our facility as an unidentified stray in poor condition. We estimated her to be between 10-12 years old, but as her teeth (what was left in her head) were so bad, getting an accurate age was impossible. Along with the terrible dental issues, Pearl also had bad cherry eye in each eye and a skin condition that had made her lose a lot of her hair.
Despite her horrible past, Pearl loves nothing more than being with people. She loves to go for walks, play with a soft squeaky toy, or just sit in your arms and have a cuddle.
Pearl has had surgery to remove the last few rotten and broken teeth, fix both cherry eyes and has been desexed. Whilst she was being desexed the vets found some mammary tumours which were also removed. Since she has now has no teeth, Pearl can only eat soft food which she has absolutely no problem with! Little miss absolutely loves her food! If she happens to find food on the floor, she will try to swallow it whole like a pelican.
Pearl seems to be ok around other dogs here at the shelter, but we have found she isn’t too keen on living with another dog, as she gets quite dominant with them. This may be because she wants all your love to herself! She doesn’t seem to be bothered by other animals like cats or roosters, but as with the dogs, we don’t know how she will react to them when she goes home. For this reason, Pearl will need to go to a home with no other animals.
Pearl doesn’t mind being left on her own and copes quite well with it, so you won’t need to worry about her getting stressed when you need to leave the house. Give her a nice, warm, comfortable bed and she will likely sleep the whole time you’re away.
If you think you can give this old girl the home and love she deserves and has missed out on for the past few years, please email us at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or call us on 0499 900 272 and speak to one of our friendly staff.
Pearl's adoption price is $300 and this includes her desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. Pearl has also been treated for fleas and worms.
Pearl is located in East Maitland.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272 to make an appointment and ask further questions.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the foster carers home or at a convenient location.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
