About Aphrodite ~ Can you heal a broken heart? ๐
Please read this carefully.
Aphrodite is a very beautiful girl who is feeling very out of sorts. Her life has been turned upside down and sheโs feeling very unsure and unhappy, and as such we donโt believe we have seen her true personality yet.
Aphrodite grew up very happy in a home with lots of other cats and a mummy who loved her very much. Then one day her mummy got sick and passed away ๐ข
Aphrodite was used to having someone home a lot and loved sleeping on her mummyโs bed, but when Mummy died she took to sleeping in her own bed. Her daddy didnโt feel that he could give Aphrodite and all the other cats enough attention, so he surrendered them all to the pound.
Since being in care we have learned the following about Aphrodite:
~ She prefers women over men
~ She is a sensitive soul who really does need someone home often to help her come out of her shell.
~ She can be shy to start with and even a bit hissy.
~ She squeaks when sheโs happy and will meow for attention ๐
~ She is an easy target for dominant cats and easily bullied. This upsets her and can lead to undesirable marking behaviours. However we know she has previously lived well with friendly, social cats.
~ She loves to sleep on the end of your bed, or curled up next to you.
~ She loves a pat and a scratch.
~ She enjoys playing with toys.
Aphrodite simply isnโt getting what she needs in foster care and we think itโs best that she finds a patient and understanding home with someone home often, and perhaps with a friendly social cat or 2. She was not keen on the dog in her first foster home, but weโre not sure if this was just because she was very unhappy generally.
If you are willing to give this girl the patience and time she needs, and do a slow and steady introduction to any other resident pets, please complete an application form and return to us with a bit of info about the type of home you can provide.
Please note that Aphrodite requires an indoor only home.
