About Tira - 1 year old female cat
Sweet Tira
Hi,
My name is Sharron, the foster mum to Tira. I personally wanted to introduce you all to her.
Tira is a Siamese cross and she has been microchipped by the pound as being 18 months old but to be honest we are not 100% sure how old she is.
This is Tira’s story:
Tira was surrendered to a local pound a number of months ago. She was heavily pregnant, scared and very timid so much so they moved her out of the main area to a quiet location to try and make her more comfortable. The pound reached out to DRN to help this precious girl.
When Tira arrived, she was set up in her own room to wait the birth of her babies. She didn’t want affection she just wanted to be left alone so we gave her her space. Three weeks later she gave birth. Five healthy babies.
Tira has proven to be a fantastic mum. She loved her babies and was very attentive. Three of her babies have now been adopted. Tira adores being with her remaining two, Jamie and Lottie.
It is time for this special little mum to find her own home. A special home. One where she is loved, adored and cared for. You see Tira wasn’t a well looked after cat, not until she came into care. Now we are after someone that is willing to give her the time, love and patience she deserves.
Tira is still on the timid side but we know with time that she will come around. She just needs to feel safe. She is fantastic with other cats and isn’t phased by cat friendly dogs.
I feel Tira would be best suited to a quiet home with someone looking for a companion. I don’t think she is suitable for a home with children. Tira is the cat that you will “ rescue “.
She likes a pat when she knows you, loves her food and is a lady with her litter.
Tira needs to be a strictly indoor girl unless you have a secure outdoor enclosure.
Tira was recently desexed. She was also diagnosed with “ Pillow Foot “ ( Feline Plasma Cell Pododermatitis - inflammation of the foot pads ) which she is on a course of antibiotics for and we are hoping will recover with her medication.
Tira is special and I would love for her to find that exceptional person to provide her with a happy home. Is that person you?
If you feel it is, please complete the DRN questionnaire linked here: https://form.jotform.co/93127959159875
Tira’s adoption fee is $150. She has been microchipped, vaccinated, desexed and wormed.
Medical notes
Currently on a course of antibiotics for Feline Plasma Cell Pododermatitis (Pillow foot).
