Otto

Otto is a happy, sweet five month old Koolie boy who is now looking for his forever home. He, along with a number of other dogs, were surrendered to Pawfect Pals from a cattle farm, and he had never left that property prior to arriving in foster care.

He loves a snuggle and tummy rub, and wins the hearts of everyone he meets. Being a pup, Otto loves to bound around playing with his toys. He is clumsy and still learning how his limbs work! Watching him toss toys in the air and pounce on them is hilarious to watch! He has shown an interest in playing fetch and chasing his toys.

While in foster care, Otto has learned basic commands like sit, stay and come. He is toilet trained and quickly learned how to use the doggy door to let himself outside. He is still learning the joys of a walk on leash and a drive in the car, as those experiences are new to him. Otto is curious about the world but cautious. He is initially wary of new places and some people, but is building his confidence with positive reinforcement.

Otto gets on well with other dogs and would like to live with another dog. He enjoys sleeping snuggled up with his foster sister and has been sleeping indoors and settles on his bed. Otto rarely barks and hasn’t shown any separation anxiety when left at home with his foster sister.

Otto likes to run around and play on the grass, so he is looking for a home with a yard with room to run about or a visit to a park a couple of times a day. Being a young pup, he will thrive with some basic obedience training, daily exercise and stimulating toys.

He is not tested with cats but would likely be fine with careful introductions. He would be fine with dog savvy children as long as the don't mind being showered with affection.
