Squid is a very beautiful and sweet natured girl. As an ex-working dog she didn’t know any commands at all nor had much human attention, but since coming into care she has absolutely enjoyed getting lots of love and affection from her humans and has learnt some basic skills.
Even though she only has half a tail it just won’t stop wagging when she sees you returning home. She loves putting her face very close to your face, and will even try to put her front paws on your legs if you are sitting down, just so she can get closer to you. Once she's realised she's got enough cuddles and made sure you are comfortable, she will quietly lie down next to you and chill. She just craves to be loved and has so much love to give. She is a happy girl with a very gentle personality and all she wants to do is to stay close to her humans as much as possible and wouldn’t want to let you go out of her sight.
She is almost house trained and crate trained. She knows how to sit and wait for her food. She also walks very well on a lead and she always has her eyes on you. She is very food driven and will be easy to train. She is also a good guard dog as she will bark if she hears any unfamiliar noises outside the house.
She would suit a home in which her owner will be with her most of the time, as she may feel anxious or lonely if no one is at home for most of the day. Squid will get along well with a doggie friend but would prefer to stay with her humans more.
Squid is $300 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, heartworm checked and given flea, tick and worm preventatives.
