About Pepper
(Dr) Pepper is one of the soda babies recently brought into care, with his 3 siblings; Fanta, Pepsi and Poppi.
Pepper was initially the most shy of the bunch, but has come full circle and is now the cuddliest! He loves to curl up on a lap and purr the night away. If you’re wearing a cosy jumper or have a snuggly blanket, even better.
Pepper also loves snoozing on the bed and loves to cuddle up on your tummy or chest.
Once he’s recharged his batteries with a decent snooze, he loves to play with his siblings and foster sisters. He loves climbing the cat tree, chasing balls or lure toys.
Pepper is very social and has blended in seamlessly with the resident cats. He’d love a kitten friend, either one of his siblings or another friendly kitten.
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until the date of adoption. The pet will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
