Hi! I'm Jersey the puppy.
I'm an independent, loving, playful, cheeky, and courageous strong pup! I love to play with my toys lots, especially chewing my toys. Since I'm still a pup, I had to be directed in what and what not to chew. I also love eating and sleeping, as well as playing with my other dog friend.
As much as I love eating, I must be monitored a bit, as I can only eat kibble or else it'll upset my belly! I can also only eat in smaller portions or else I might accidentally overeat and feel sick. This is because before I came into SAFE, I was underfed food and skinny, so food is still something I'm getting adjusted to.
Since I'm a puppy, I still need some training. However, I'm smart and even know how to sit, and I'm currently learning other commands; I'm toilet trained too!
I'd love any owner as I'm still a puppy and can be quite adjustable to any situation, but I could probably do well with other dogs and children. An owner who is patient with monitoring my eating, training me and loves to play with me would be great.
I'm also getting a professional photoshoot done soon so you'll be able to see how gorgeous I really am!

Want to know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I'd like to do training every day so that I learn the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it. And once I've learnt them, I need to keep practicing them every day too. That way I'll learn to obey what you tell me to do. Being consistent and clear with your boundaries will mean I always know the right way to behave. Getting out to exercise at least once a day (and twice for working dog breeds) is vital to stimulate my brain and body. It creates important opportunities for me to meet strangers, other dogs and other animals, plus it tires me out! Tell me ""no"" if I'm chewing something I shouldn't and give me a chew toy instead. I'd love to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so I don't get bored with them.
