About Buddy ~ 5yr Old Shih Tzu (Adopted 23/05/2022)
Meet the sweetest buddy you’ll ever met, Buddy. He is a 5 year old Shih Tzu X
Buddy loves nothing more than cuddling and following people around and giving you no personal space! He is Always either following you around or sitting on your lap or wanting to just be close to you to know your there.
Buddy loves nothing more then just sitting around getting pats and scratches all the time.
He loves being able to go on walks where he can sniff everything along the way, he is great on a lead and has no urge to pull or run/sprint.
Since coming into care buddy has improved massively, Has learnt to sit and wait for his meals, he has learnt some recall as he has become more comfortable with his surroundings but may need further training. He is mostly toilet trained with some accidents inside occasionally, if he has access to outside this isn’t a problem.
Buddy is a spoilt boy, he loves to Sleep on the bed with his foster mum as doesn’t like to be apart and loves the opportunity for snuggles!
Buddy will need to be included in most day to day activities with his new family as he doesn’t do well being left alone. Buddy’s Perfect home is someone who either works from home or doesn’t work at all. Preferably no other dogs in the home but he gets along with other dogs just fine. If he was to have a fur brother or sister They need to be calm and not playful as buddy doesn’t enjoy playing with other dogs, just enjoys their company. Probably no young kids as they will be too much for him. Buddy is untested with cats. Buddy needs to be inside almost all of the time, as he is so small he can get cold easily so a fluffy jumper for the winter is a must! Fences with no small gaps he can get through or climb over.
Buddy has atopic dermatitis meaning he has environmental allergies that effect his skin and coat. This has improved over his years, however, He has had previous issues with this and must have owners committed to any further treatment he may need as well as a regular grooming schedule to ensure buddy stays as comfortable as possible.
Buddy just needs someone who he knows will be committed to him for the rest of his years.
For more information on buddy please contact his foster carer on their email Alicia.adoption@hotmail.com Buddy is in foster care in Kurri kurri, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
