About Scrappy
Hi, If you are looking for a tall, handsome, fit, sensitive male, I am your guy.
The hoomans say that I am a Great Dane, but they keep calling me a good boy, so I guess I am a Great Good Dane Boy. I am over 3 years old, and I am very chilled once I am familiar with my surroundings.
I am a very gentle soul and sweet. I am not an overly active dog, but I do love my daily walks, which have become essential to keep me chill. I get really happy when I know it is walkies time. I am great with the ladies, but not so much with other male doggos. My foster sister loves playing with me, so I play a little whenever we get off the lead in a safe space. When we do “Zoomies” and run around we don’t really see where we go. So keep an eye on me, I can run you over while I play.
You must be thinking, he is perfect… well, let me tell you, I do have my quirks. I do not like pooping on a leash, I need a space where I can do my dance (checking it is a safe space) for me to let go. At home, I only go at night, as I am a little shy. So having access to a yard would be awesome.
I am also what they call a velcro dog, so when my hoomans are around, I like to be very close, especially with my male hooman. What about little hoomans you ask. I have interacted with little ones after my walks when I am relaxed, and they approach me quietly and calmly. I think I would do much better with with bigger hoomans over 10 years.
Like many of us, I do have a past, so I might be a little nervous in new places, with loud noises, trucks and loud voices. I do not like ceiling fans, they make me nervous sometimes. So a fur female companion is a must for me, she will help me relax and settle in a new space. I am ok with cats, when I had one of them around, I just let it be. I am a food enthusiast, but I eat very fast, looking over my shoulder, but that is just a habit of mine from the past.
I can get a little assertive with some of my fellow furry neighbours if they bark at me directly from the fence.
Did I mention I love walking? I also love car rides, they are the best. I stand up for a lot of the ride, but I eventually lay down. I even ask my foster dad to teach me to drive once, but I guess it is not the right time yet. I love walks anywhere: along the beach, the hooman park, bush walks, the river, etc. Once I get home, I spend most of my time lying on the doggos beds or the doggos couch. I also love going to the coffee shop and get a pupachino because everyone loves me and likes enjoying me.
I am nice and quiet if the hoomans are around, but when they go out home, my attention goes at anything that moves or makes a sound in the yard.
So if you are a hooman have a fur female, preferably large, who spends considerable time at home, loves daily walks and car rides, and understands my quirks, It will be my pleasure to make your home mine.
xoxo
