About Randy
I am trying a new home to see if i like it. Randy was surrendered to the pound along with his breeding "mate" mckenzie as their previous owner had finished using this pair so just discarded them! randy was in appalling condition with his coat looking like it belonged to an alien. While randy was under for his desexing his coat was clipped off as it was so matted it would have caused him considerable pain to remove without him being totally unconscious. Randy woke up feeling like a brand new dog and was unrecognisable. Unfortunately for most of the dogs rescued by paws this is a fairly common occurrence and we are grateful to be able to help these dogs by doing the simple things that they deserve such as grooming etc. Our aim is to rehome them to families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. When randy went to his foster carer he was a very tired and frightened dog and his carer believes that randy had probably rarely if ever experienced any human contact and given the time, love and attention he deserved. Over the past few weeks randy has come into his own. He still has a long way to go but now enjoys pats and thrives in the company of his foster carer and the other resident foster dog zsa zsa. Randy is a very gentle boy who loves to play with other dogs, his toys and is cat friendly. He is learning to trust and now knows that life can be pretty good if you are in the right place! randy would love a home with a patient and loving family who are willing to work with randy to help him become more confident. He would enjoy the company of another small dog if his owners go out to work every day as its a lonely life for a small dog if left on their own all day, every day. Randy is a house dog and must have access via a doggy door or similar. His coat will grow back and he'll turn into prince charming and then require regular grooming and clipping. Randy comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with nsw local council lifetime registration for $350 and is not available for adoption outside nsw. He has also had a recent dental (teeth cleaned under anaesthetic). If you would like more information on randy or to arrange to meet him, please phone 0466 690916 (between 8am and 7pm only) or email using adoption enquiry as your subject heading.
