About Pippa
Pippa's profile and needs in a home
We would like to introduce you to Mumma Bear Pippa who may just win the doggy Mother of the Year award!
Abandoned at the pound with her two-day old puppies, Pippa despite her completely overwhelming situation, was a brave and caring mother who protected her teeny tiny babies without hesitation. We were lucky enough to be alerted to Pippa’s predicament and the next day, raced to collect her and place her in a quiet and caring foster home so she could look after her pups in peace and comfort. Her motherly instincts were phenomenal and she truly deserves all the props for doing such a good job with her babies.
Pippa's puppies, Peatie and Polly have recently been rehomed to wonderful families and now that her mothering job is done, Pippa is looking for the perfect second-chance home of her very own.
Pippa is a sensitive but super sweet girl who has lots of love to give her new family. As Pippa can be a little shy at first to meet, she is looking for a family with a chill vibe who doesn’t mind taking things nice and easy, not pushing Pippa past her comfort zone and instead just letting her go at her own pace.
Once comfortable, Pippa loves to play and interact, as can be seen in her foster home which she happens to share with 5 children! Pippa is happy chilling with the kids inside or playing zooms around the yard. Provided she has time to settle in and is always safely supervised, she gets along well with visiting friends, family and kids.
Did someone say pool party? Swimming is Pippa’s favourite activity, if she could live in the pool she would, she can’t get enough so a family with a pool or access to one is highly favourable.
In typical staffy mode, she loves to be with her people and enjoys interacting and cuddling with her foster family. It is therefore important that Pippa be part of the family and not left in the backyard and Pippa would prefer a home where her new owners are not away from. home for long periods.
Unfortunately, her life prior to coming into our care was one of little socialisation so a home with no other dogs or other animals is the best fit for Pippa and one where her new owner can manage her interaction with other dogs on leash. Pippa will preferably need a home with a breed experienced owner and one that can give her daily exercise and mental stimulation. She travels well in the car and loves going on adventures.
Pippa is housetrained and walks well on the lead and like all of our dogs must have access inside at all times and sleep inside in a warm area of the home at night.
If you would like to meet Pippa, please do not forget to send us an email at sasresecue@gmail.com with as much detail as possible on yourself and the home you are able to provide including your location, contact number, family members, lifestyle, exercise, and mental stimulation you will provide, how often Pippa would be alone, where she will have access in the home, where Pippa would go if you went away and could not take her with you, ability to cover vet expenses and any other information you wish to provide so that we can see if you and Pippa are a good match
