Our gorgeous Francine is finally ready to start searching for her forever family. Francine arrived into our care from a remote rural town in a bit of an emergency. She had been found and handed into a vet clinic with a broken femur and was in very poor condition. After arriving in Brisbane she underwent surgery to repair her fractured leg and has recovered incredibly well.
Francine gets around as if she hasn't suffered any trauma at all. She's a gorgeous girl who has been in a loving foster home learning what it's like to be a loved little lady. She is an affectionate girl once she trusts you, but does bond faster with females than males. Francine is currently living with 2 cats who she is trying to work out how to socialise with. Occasionally she can get a little protective of her favourite human and tells her foster siblings what's what. She needs to live either as an only cat, or with another cat who is laid back and not dominant. Francine would be the perfect kitty for someone to bond closely with one on one. We are looking for a home who doesn't have children.
Please get in contact with us if you would like to meet with little Francine. 🐾
Adoption details
If you would like to know more information about any of our rescue animals, our rescue group, or to arrange a meet and greet, please email us. Please provide us with your name, email address, contact number, and some information about yourself, and the home you have to offer one of our rescue animals.
About us:
Gary and the Handicats Rescue is run soley by a Vet Nurse who works shift work and also cares for sick and high needs rescue animals. We strive to get back to you within 24 hours, but during busy kitten seasons there may be a delay. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Please note we do not run on a "first in first served" basis. We screen applicants well before proceeding with adoption. Vet and rental references may be required for certain special needs adoptions.
We receive a large amount of interest in our handraised kittens, and certain special needs animals. Please understand that if you're application isn't successful, this may just be due to the amount of applications we have had for that particular animal, and not because of the home you have to offer. Preference is always given to our past adopters.
Meet and Greets:
• Meet and greets are held in an environment where the particular cat or kitten feels most comfortable.
• Please do not bring your own animals to a meet and greet.
• We do not allow any of our animals to be taken home on the day of the meet and greet. Special circumstances may be considered.
Picking up you're new family member:
• You MUST bring a safe, secure, and size appropriate carrier for your baby to travel home in. We do not have carriers to provide new adopters, and we will not send home one of our rescue animals in a cardboard box or a washing basket. If a carrier isn't able to be provided, your adoption will be cancelled.
