About Jemma
Jemma is a seven month old German Shepherd whose found her way to a local shelter and her owner didn't come to pick her up.
Jemma is a soft and social dog and needs a home where she can connect with her family and show how much love she can give to her humans.
Jemma being a young Shepherd is an active dog who will be suited to a home with either a couple or family with older children that have experience with the German Shepherd breed and have the time and commitment for this young dog.
We want her to go to a home where she will be an integral family member. She is not suitable to go to a home with young children as she is very jumpy.
Jemma will receive one on one training with our Dog Trainer - Bear The Dog Behaviourist. She needs to go to a home with a family who have knowledge of the breed and have owned a German Shepherd or another large breed dog.
She has not suited to go to a home with cats or pocket pets.
Intelligence, loyalty, love and companionship is what Jemma will give in abundance when she connects and builds that trust with his new owner.
If you understand the nature of the German Shepherd, have recently owned this breed, and are looking for a companion dog then please consider Jemma.
If you think you can give me a new home please contact us by selecting "Enquire about Jemma".
Medical notes
Jemma is microchipped and vaccinated and will be desexed when we can get a vet appointment.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
