Skittles - 1 Year Old Dachshund X (On Trial)

Skittles is an energetic 1 year old dachshund x kelpie with a lot of love to give. The kelpie in her means that she loves to run and play however being a dachshund she loves cuddles and affection.

Skittles knows some basic commands like sit and stay. She is toilet trained. Skittles is still learning not to jump on people and would benefit from a home that is committed to her ongoing training.

Skittles loves wrestling with her foster siblings. In her new home she would love a similar sized or larger dog, who is young and energetic. She has not been exposed to cats or pocket pets. Skittles has had very little exposure to kids and would suit a home with children over 12.

Skittles requires a family with the time to exercise her daily. She is currently used to a 4-5km run each day and plays lots of fetch. She requires a large, secure backyard, with high 6ft fences as she is an escape artist if she isn't properly occupied.

Skittles needs to be welcome inside when people are home. She sleeps some nights in her own bed however she loves to sneak into our bed for a cuddle!
