Luna ~ 1yr Old Wolfhound X (On Trial 23/05/2022)

Meet lovely Luna! This gorgeous girl is a 1yr old Wolfhound X English Pointer. Luna is a gentle and affectionate young lady.

Luna currently lives with 2 other dogs at her foster home ,and she loves to play with them. She also loves to cuddle up next to you on the couch for a pat.

Luna knows how to sit on command and she is toilet trained. Luna is very smart and she is picking up training very quickly. Luna will sometimes jump up on you if she is excited to see you. She will easily outgrow this habit with further training. Luna is very quiet and she does not bark very much.

Luna is a shy girl and she is still learning about the world around her. She can be timid and fearful of unknown dogs and new environments at first. Luna will need someone who will support her to grow her confidence in new situations.

Luna would be happy living with another dog who is happy, confident and well socialised. She would also be happy being an only- dog but would require someone home more often than not so she gets lots of love and attention. If you have another dog ,she will need a gradual introduction to your dog to ensure that Luna can build trust and feel confident to interact with him /her.

Luna will be on her best behaviour if she has a minimum of 30 min exercise everyday to tire her out as she still has some puppy energy to burn !

As she loves her humans so much, Luna would need to be welcomed inside when the family is home and be involved in her new family’s life. Luna needs to be allowed to sleep inside on her own bed. No pocket pets/no cats recommended. She would suit a family with or without children but we would recommend the children be over the age of 10 since Luna gets excited around new people and can jump up. As Luna has lovely long legs , she will need 6 ft secure fencing, with no gaps under fence.
