About Tinkerbell
Hi I’m TINKERBELL (TINK for short)
Please read very carefully because when you adopt me, I want it to be furever and I just know you will love me as much as I love my people. My age is 2years and 4 months.
Firstly, I want to let you know I don’t hear much, some random noises but I can’t hear you speak so you need to use your hands to communicate with me. I run into things sometimes so my sight may not be as good as some, but I can see, I’m just clumsy?
I’m so pretty, my white coat shines like silver (when I’m clean) but I’m an outdoorsy girl so don’t stay clean for long. I have a little polka dot shawl over my left shoulder, so I’m sorta classy too. I really love snuggling with you on the sofa, I try to get as close as I can.
I do like hard toys I can chew on, not much for fluffy stuff and I don’t really chew stuff I’m not supposed to. I am a bit of a homebody, I’m not much of a walker and really don’t like going in the car. I’ve just discovered what treats are, and I am learning how to be good at getting them. I’ve met a few dogs and I am happy to say hi, but I can be a bit too playful and rambunctious.
My big fur foster brother is pretty cruisy and I love playing with him, he’s lots bigger than me, but I still rough him up and I just love him to bits. I steal his bed, but I tend to fall off a lot so one closer to the ground would be better. Foster Mum puts me in time out when I get too excited and play too rough, (he is getting a bit old now) so I am learning when to stop.
I am toilet trained and go out for a wee when I’m told, I go out by myself in the daytime and hold on all night until I can go out in the mornings, I’m very good at that. I am only just learning basic command as I didn't understand sign language before but am learning now, and I know what treats are, so I am trying really, really hard to learn faster.
Sneaking into the kitchen is pretty cool fun, even though I’m not allowed to, FM doesn’t like me to sniff the bench and everything else. I'm a real snifferer, I have to sniff everything, but FM says it’s because I don’t hear stuff and need to sniff everything to make sure I’m seeing right.
Exploring outside is one of my favourite things. Sniffing is fun, even just in and around the house. I sniff lots; however, I don’t jump.
My favourite thing is just being home and I really don’t mind being left at home alone. At my foster place I have a nice daybed in the sunroom to chill in, I have been crate trained but I don’t like it much. Even though I don’t like going in the car, this might change when I get used to things around me and understand nobody’s taking me somewhere I don’t want to go.
I don’t bark unless I get a bit excited or scared, even when I meet other dogs. I always be quiet when my foster mum tells me to by waving to get my attention & showing me STOP the sign. I do sometimes bark at people when they walk past the house, or if something scares or surprises me.
I haven’t met any cats, chickens or other little things that run and make noises but I’m sure I would want to chase them if I did.
I play rough and a home with young children would not suit my strength and energy.
I also require 6ft fencing to keep me safe and secure.
I would love someone who is home often, and maybe I would like another big strong dog for company, but I would need to get to know him first and would be just as happy having my humans to myself and be happy doing my own thing. I do like to sleep inside, in my own space, crate or small room.
Please complete the adoption application if you think I could be a part of your lovely family.
