Kobi is now ready for his furever home after many months of being in care for heartworm treatment!
Kobi is a very energetic boisterous working dog who needs lots of space to run and explore. Given his breed, he would benefit from a home with strong boundaries, obedience training and jobs to do to keep his mind busy, without this Kobi is at risk of becoming an anxious naughty dog.
Due to his heartworm treatment Kobi hasnt been able to go to many training lessons, however the few he did go to showed great promise in obedience work. Despite this, his foster carers haven't quite got him out of the habit of jumping up for some love and attention occasionally. That is because Kobi loves his pats, cuddles and treats with his humans.
Kobi is not suitable with young children as he can be quite jumpy and in their faces, therefore he would be more suited to teenagers who are able to be clear and verbalise commands for him. Kobi is good with other female dogs with a slow introduction, however prefers to be leader of the pack, so would not suit a dominant female dog. He also has the company of a few cats where he is, however they all know to whip him into line and his foster Mum always supervises their interaction, as she worries if the cats run Kobi might enjoy the fun of chasing them.
He likes playing fetch with the dog he lives with, however is more interested in chasing the dog than the ball. On occasions Kobi will steal the ball and run away as if to say "ha ha ha cant catch me!" He also likes watching his foster Mum doing laps in the pool and definitely enjoys the indulgence of dipping in and out of the water whenever he wants. Kobi has been an outside only dog so unsure how we will go with house training.
Kobi is a beautiful natured dog who deserves the best second chance. He is adorable to look at but will definitely require a home with lots of stimulation to keep him out of trouble. Kobi cant wait to meet his furever family!!!
Kobi is $300 to adopt, desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, heartworm checked and given flea, tick and worm preventatives.
