- Meet Junior -

If anybody had a reason to be unhappy with life it would be Junior. Previous to coming into our care Junior was not valued nor treated well which left him in poor condition and requiring his tail to be amputated.

With the financial help of our supportive community, Junior underwent surgery to remove part of his tail and with lots of love and support, Junior came through like a trooper. Even after enduring all this, nothing can surpass this wonderful boys enthusiasm for life and people.

Junior absolutely loves belly rubs!!! He is a super affectionate guy and has a fun personality. He really is quiet comical with the different antics that he gets up to.

When focused using treats Junior will sit, shake, drop and roll over. We are so proud of him. He has come a long way from not receiving much past training.

Other pets: Before coming into our care it has been obvious that Junior was not socialised with other canine friends. His boisterous approach towards other canines can be off putting and not tolerated. He has improved, loves being with his pound buddies on pack walks however Junior requires ongoing dog socialisation to learn how to behave appropriately one on one. He could be homed with another canine friend after a meet and greet has been conducted to ensure suitability.

Junior has shown little interest in our shelter cats. He is more interested in sniffing their enclosures.

Type of home: Junior would love a home environment where he would be able to be the main focus. He loves his people and would be a fabulous companion. He requires some further training and ongoing opportunities to interact with other canines so he can keep improving to be the best boy possible. Junior absolutely enjoys the outdoors and being active. If you have a love for walking or jogging, then Junior is the buddy for you.

Junior's adoption fee covers: microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, up to date vaccination, flea and worming treatments.
