About Leila
Miss Leila is an affectionate, active and playful puppy, born on 15 December 2021.
Based on her coarse facial hair, we initially thought she was a Wolfie mix, but how wrong can you be!
Leila's DNA test reveals she's 30% kelpie and the other 70% is a combination of Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Labrador, British Bulldog, Great Dane, Bullmastiff, Cane Corso and the magnificent Leonberger (which is the likely source of her hairy coat).
Whatever the mix, she's an absolutely gorgeous pup that loves everyone. She's great with children, though maybe a bit too large for the tiny ones. She is very dog-friendly and currently lives on a farm with other dogs and puppies. She's grown up with horses and they're not a bother to her. She's untested with cats.
On 5 May she weighed 15.6 kgs, so we guestimate she'll weigh 30-35 kgs at maturity.
As a nod to her Kelpie forebears, Leila needs plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. She'd fit nicely into an active home with children and at least one other compatible dog for her to play with - 'cos Leila does love to play.
As always, secure fencing is essential.
Leila is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and her adoption fee is $750.
Prior experience with larger dogs and/or kelpies will be well regarded.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) The "meet and greet" is held in Warwick, Queensland. If successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
