About Noah - Located in Clifton Hill
If you are looking for a sweet, gentle cat then Noah is the one!
He is a ginger tabby whose favourite things include sleeping on your bed cuddled up to you and food. Noah is a cat that really enjoys affection in the form of head rubs and chin scratches, he will get as close to you as he can and purr loudly, which is lovely!
He does not enjoy being picked up and held for too long or the vacuum cleaner.
Noah has FIV and for this reason needs to be in a home with no other cats. He also enjoys a quiet home so no younger children would be better. He spends most of the day sleeping but will pay you attention when you come home.
When he arrived in foster, Noah had been surrendered and was suffering high levels of stress including loss of his fur and intense hiding behaviour. This is much improved and he now enjoys the company of humans once he knows you.
Noah had some issues with blood in his stool, which has been diagnosed as inflammatory bowel disease and kept under control with a special diet. He also has arthritis in his hind legs which prevents him jumping onto furniture. Green lipped mussel supplement seems to help him.
If you feel like you could provide a sweet, gentle cat with a furever home, Noah would love to hear from you.

FIV+ cats live a normal life for many years and we cannot predict the life span of these cats. FIV positive cats sometimes have a scruffy coat and the condition can lead to chronic recurrent infections in the mouth, eye and skin. FIV cannot infect people, however it can infect other cats through bite wounds commonly from fights. FIV positive cats can co-exist with other cats that don't have FIV without issues.
We encourage that the cat is either an indoor cat or a confined cat - eg access to a cat run outdoors. We recommend regular vet visits (6 monthly) to monitor weight, coat changes, mouth etc.
