About Gus
Gus (or how the kids call him Lord Gustopher) is an affectionate, easy going, smiley, beautiful blonde guy.
Everyone loves Gus, he is the sweetest boy. Gus doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, he wants to be friends with everyone, furry or otherwise.
His favourite things to do are sleeping and eating, he makes a good tv buddy when he nestles his head on your lap. He likes zooming around the backyard and to catch a ball (he hasn’t quite worked out to bring the ball back yet). He is so happy when he sees people, and when people are coming for a visit, he loves being the centre of attention. He is a big puppy.
Although he is a sweet boy, he is a little clumsy, hence I think a home with small kids isn’t suitable for him because he jumps up during play and greeting (gotten a bit better with training). He also gets a bit unsettled with crying or whining kids around.
He is walking fine on the leash, but sometimes he can be a little silly at the start by biting the leash, giving him something to carry works well. He travels well in the car, is polite to the vet and has a solid socialisation history. He is friendly to other dogs and cats
Truthfully we are guessing what breeds are in him, but regardless Gus is truly a rare personality.
If I sound perfect for you, please complete the short adoption application form in the attached link, please note this is the only way your application will be considered: https://homelesshounds.com.au/adopt/dogs
Medical notes
Gus is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.
He has had both knees repaired (we advise preventative diet and regular gentle exercise to manage the possibility of arthritis). He has lost the tip of his tail to a car door accident but he still wags it constantly!
