About Shiloh
Shiloh means “His gift”. And that is exactly what she is … a gift.
Our beautiful Shiloh has been a longstanding Happy Tails family member. You may have seen her on the Happy Tails page – a call to arms for surgery to save our girl in the chest wall/abdominal, her cruciate ligament surgery done on both legs and two further surgeries. For people, these surgeries would have been extensive and hard to manage. For a dog, who was surrendered under such circumstances as she was, and having to undergo so much treatment and rehabilitation since from injuries prior to surrender, she is a miracle, a true gift. She has rehabilitated tremendously. Never once did she cry in pain. Never once did she get angry or share her frustration. Never once did she not love. Her ability to trust humans, even after all that she has been through, is truly remarkable.
Shiloh, as a foster dog, has been incredible. She is a beloved member of her foster family. She lives with two teenagers, has met small children and small dogs, she lives with another medium sized dog (although she is selective with dogs but with patience and support she soon becomes besties with the resident dog and she would love a brother or sister doggie to love and cherish), and many cats (both foster and resident cats).
Shiloh is loyal, loving, affectionate, would love to be the centre of her forever family’s world, a great guard dog who will let you know if anyone is about that shouldn’t be there, and so precious to heart that you just can’t imagine your life without her.
Shiloh may have been a farm girl. We are unsure of her background. She is able, post-op, to live a full, happy life with her enthusiasm and get up and go. She loves walks (although just learning to get back into them after rehabilitation) and is wonderful on the lead. Her most favourite thing though to do with her humans is car rides and sleeping. She is just happy to be where you are.
She has been through so much in her beautiful life and she has so much love to give. Can you be the loving constant that she needs? Can you be the security and the safety she longs for and deserves? Can you be her forever family?
Let her be your gift that keeps on giving.
