Farrow is an affectionate boy with loads of energy who always wants to be around his humans. Being a Husky he has some separation anxiety and will look for an escape route if given an opportunity, therefore he is looking for a home where his human will be around more often then not (eg. works from home full time, retired, stay at home parent) and where appropriate can be involved with social outings.
Farrow currently lives with 2 medium size dogs but had very little socialisation with dogs prior to coming into care and can therefore be unpredictable with other dogs. He prefers to play with males and is showing signs he will be able to happily play with any dog one day but in slow small steps. Farrow would very much enjoy being an only dog.
Farrow can be stubborn at times which makes training difficult but he has learnt sit and is getting better at wait, he is toilet trained and his recall is also good. He will happily sleep in his crate at night and spend time in there during the day as long as he has toys. Farrow was an extreme lead puller but has been working on using a halti and in time with consistent training he will walk beautifully on lead. Farrow’s home will need to be committed to training as he learns to master everything.
Farrow has been around young children and listens to them but given he still has a lot to learn we would recommend a home with children who are confident around dogs.
Farrow has not had had exposure to cats, based on his personality a cat free home is recommended.
