Please do not be disheartened or discouraged if you do not receive a reply, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time. Meet Maple – 3month old female boxer x staffy mixed breed
Maple loves a good cuddle and a scratch on the belly and behind her ears.
Her favorite toys are tennis balls, chew toys and empty toilet rolls.
Maple loves playing in the back yard with her sister and mum as well as exploring through the garden.
She likes to chase the ball and will returning the ball back to you, working on the drop ball part.
She is getting really good at sitting and toilet training.
She loves digging around in her water bowl splashing & playing with the water.
She loves his food!
Would be best with no small children and would suit an active person/family who is willing to take the time to train her and walk him daily. She is a smart little cookie who loves a challenge eg puzzles or working out how to open a cupboard door.
She will grow into quite a medium sized but strong dog, so please consider your circumstances both now and in the long term and do some research on what is involved in caring for, living with and training large dogs prior to submitting an application.
Training is critical for Maple to grow in to the best dog she can be. As a strong breed, the consequences of behavioural issues are bigger so you will need to commit to puppy training and ongoing socialisation and training using positive reinforcement to ensure they don’t develop. Maple is a very responsive pup who is eager to please and easy to reward.
Maple would love a home where she is not left alone too much so she doesn’t get lonely and stressed. Ideally her owner would be home most of the time and she would love a friendly adult dog as a teacher and playmate. She will need to be welcomed as a member of the family, with access to indoors and a yard to run around in with secure fencing that is at least 6ft tall with no gaps. She will need regular walks for exercise and mental stimulation.
As Maple is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to residents of Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she will need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she is five months old. This is not negotiable.
