Marvin ~ 4yr Old Beagle X (On Trial 26/05/2022)

Meet Marvin the martian! This handsome boy is a 4yr Old Beagle X Coonhound. No really he’s not a martian but a gorgeous boy with all the markings of a tri-coloured beagle mixed with the size of a coonhound! He is around the 35kilo mark. Marvin loves long walks on the beach, loves a swim in either a pool, river or beach and just loves a car ride. Marvin has so much love to give and he just loves his humans! Marvin has had basic training and is a smart young man that needs stimulus, exercise and ongoing training to encourage his development. Marvin is house trained, knows how to use a doggy door and is great on the lead. He can pull a little but has a special halti to throw him off balance which slows him up quickly. He is generally good with most dogs but can be reactive on a lead.

Marvin can be a little anxious if left alone for too long so would suit someone home more often than not. Marvin deserves to find his forever home and needs to be part of the family. He loves all people and loves children, preferably over the age of 6 due to his size as he may accidently knock them over. He will need a well fenced large yard to run in and play fetch, he is not a jumper or a digger but will cry a little if locked out. He must be allowed inside and to be able to sleep inside on his own bed or with you.

Marvin unfortunately has been surrendered through no fault of his own. His family welcomed a new baby into the world and unfortunately the child ended up in hospital with allergic reactions so Marvin found himself living out on the back deck not allowed inside or near his family. Marvin has lived with 2 sibling beagles when he was just a pup through to around the age of 2 and could be a companion to another dog preferably a female and a dog around his size or he would be happy as an only dog to lap up all of the attention he has missed out on.

This beautiful boy is very even tempered, is a big ole lovebug and just wants lots of belly rubs, cuddles and love. If you have a fairly active life-style and a loving home to offer you will be rewarded with a loving companion. Marvin does have a few must haves as he does have allergies himself he will need a special diet of allergenic dry food and the special food rolls through the pet stores will keep his allergies at bay.
