About Storm
Storm has a meet and greet this week and she is located at Oberon and is nearly three year old German Shepherd whose owner had to move and couldn't take her with them. Imagine the heartache this young shepherd has endured loosing her family and then discarded.
We often cannot estimate what animals go through when they are abandoned and Storm is one such a dog. Storm is so eager to re-connect with a family or couple, she is a gentle shepherd who has completed her Novice Basic Training. Is a good car traveller and is house trained.
Storm is a very sweet shepherd who in the right environment and with committed owners will continue to develop into a confident young dog.
Storm definitely needs a home where she can connect with her family and show how much love she can give to her family. She had completed lead training and walks beside you looking up to confirm you are still there and leading her.
Storm being a young Shepherd, is an active dog who will be suited to a home with either a single person or a couple or a family that have had some experience with the German Shepherd breed and have the time and commitment for this beautiful young dog.
We want her to go to a home where she will be an integral family member. She is not suitable to go to a home with very young children only due to her size.
Storm has received one on one training with our Dog Trainer - Bear The Dog Behaviourist. She needs to go to a home with a family who have knowledge of the breed and have owned a German Shepherd or another large breed dog.
She has not been tested with cats or pocket pets.
Intelligence, loyalty, love and companionship is what Storm will give in abundance when she connects and builds that trust with her new owner.
If you understand the nature of the German Shepherd, have recently owned this breed, and are looking for a companion dog then please consider Storm.
If you think you can give me a new home please contact us by selecting "Enquire about Storm".
Medical notes
Storm has been microchipped, wormed, flea treated and has been C5 vaccinated and will be desexed before going to her forever home.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
