About Charlie
**Please read Charlie's profile carefully to make sure he will be a good fit for you**
Are you looking for a Little dog with Big dog vibes? Then look no further than Charlie! This little guy is 40 kilos of dog in a 10-kilo body!
Charlie didn't get off to the best start in life and has never had a home to call his own. Born into the shelter system, SCAR's newest tiny troublemaker is keen to get out into the world and go on adventures with his new humans.
Charlie is obsessed with heading off on long walks with plenty of new smells to take in, or playing a game of chasey with a like-minded canine companion. However, don't let Charlie's size and sweet (if somewhat manic) smile fool you! This is not your standard lapdog!
For a little dog, Charlie has big dreams. He wants to be an athlete and is searching for someone who is just as keen to help him reach his doggie sporting goals! From flyball or agility - we're certain Charlie has what it takes to master them all! It takes quite a bit to rattle this little pup, which we think will make him an excellent sporting champ!
Since arriving at SCAR, Charlie has been building his skills in our Behaviour Program. His foundation training has come along in leaps and bounds, and Charlie now has a solid understanding of life skills and has picked up some pretty impressive tricks too! He is also highly play motivated and always up for a rough-and-tumble game of tug! Life will never be boring for someone eager to take Charlie's training to new heights and let this pup live his life to the fullest!
Charlie's current best mate is a Border Collie, and these two love tearing it up in the exercise yard together. However, if Charlie's new home includes a canine brother or sister, they'd need to be a tolerant dog, as Charlie hasn't quite learned that taking breaks when playing with a friend is a thing. His playmates have been known to find him a bit exhausting on occasion! For the same reason, Charlie is not looking for a home with pocket pets, cats, or young kids (< 15 years), as he loves to chase anything that moves and still needs to learn how to play without using his teeth.
If you think you have what it takes to teach this little champion how to take on the world, please reach out - we'd love to hear from you!
