About Astra (Located in Croydon)
Astra is the sweetest, happiest girl with a gentle temperament. She loves pats, chin scritches, belly rubs and playing with you, but is also very happy to amuse herself and is quite content with her own company. She grunts contentedly as she goes about life. She's ever so slightly quirky and can be very chatty.
“Astra the hunter” finds great delight in discovering the smallest things; a piece of laundry fluff, a ray of sunshine on the floor or a discarded lolly wrapper, which she joyfully sets about hunting and capturing. She also loves playing with cat wands, laser toys, and springs, and doing zoomies.
Purring is Astra’s love language and what she does best! She purrs to greet you, to let you know she is happy, and to express her love. She even purr snores in her sleep.
Astra loves sleeping on the bed at night, cuddled up next to you for warmth and comfort. She doesn’t tolerate being picked up or handled though. She generally gets along well with other non-aggressive cats, and loves hanging out with them.
Astra is a little skittish and will startle at loud sounds and sudden movements. She recovers from her fright quickly though, and doesn’t seem to be deterred by her experiences. She has not spent time with young children (her foster family is aged 12+). For these reasons, we think that Astra is best suited to a home with no children or older children. She may take a little while to become comfortable with her new surroundings, humans and other pets, but as long as she has a safe, snug environment with food and love, we have no reason to expect her transition will be difficult.
Astra’s foster family absolutely love her and were hoping to adopt, however, one of their resident cats has become very aggressive towards her. Dear Astra needs to find a loving forever home of her own where she's accepted by everyone, loved, cherished and adored.
