About Tucker
Say hello to Tucker!
Tucker didn't have the best start to life but his confidence has grown since
he has been in foster care. Tucker needs a confident handler who will invest
time in training and socialisation.
Tucker is still very much a puppy with lots of energy and is very curious
about the world. He likes to pick things off the ground and run off with
them (especially your shoes or socks!). Tucker thinks this is a fun game
when you chase him. Thankfully he responds well to treats and will drop
whatever he has in exchange for a delicious snack.
He is a very friendly boy and gets very excited meeting new people, jumping
up to greet them.
Tucker can be reactive to other dogs at first, hence the need for ongoing
socialisation.
Tucker is an inside dog and likes to be with you. He loves to snuggle up on
the couch with you at the end of the day. At night he sleeps inside in his
own bed.
Being a Jack Russell, Tucker is territorial and will bark when strangers
approach the property.
Tucker loves a daily walk, he knows basic commands and his recall is pretty
good. Tucker travels well is the car and he loves to look out the window.
Tucker's ideal home will have someone home more often than not, and will be
dedicated to training and socialising. Tucker is currently in a foster home
with another dog so another doggo friend for company would suit Tucker.
Tucker hasn't been tested with cats.
