About Freda
Freda is one of the many mums recently rescued by Shelly’s Place. She was rescued from the Sydney floods with her three kittens, who were all severely underweight and suffering from respiratory infections. Thanks to the vets at Kogarah Veterinary Clinic, and a nice dry place to stay with plenty of food, Freda and her kittens are now healthy and happy, and putting on some much needed weight.
Freda is a beautiful sleek spotty tabby with big golden eyes and white socks. She is an extremely friendly cat and always greets you at the door when you walk in. She reaches up for a pat and will give you lovely kisses given the opportunity. She just can’t seem to get enough of these great humans who bring her food and give her a comfy place to sleep.
Freda is looking for a home where she can get lots of attention and cuddles. She would be a purrfect fit for a first time pet owner with her easygoing nature and social personality. She would be fantastic with kids as she is very affectionate and calm. She’s fine with calm dogs, and is happy around other cats.
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via the JotForm.
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack sent via email.
7. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until the date of adoption. The pet will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
