Zarlie is a shy sensitive girl who takes time to trust new people but is very affectionate and cuddly once she knows you. Her new owner needs to understand that Zarlie will be worried in new environments and when meeting new people, in particular men, so she will need to meet all members of the family (older children please and your calm, social, male dog if you have one) at time of adoption to make sure she feels comfortable with everyone and the family are comfortable with her. Zarlie is recovering from leg surgery so can only go on short on lead walks until fully recovered. While recovering she will need lots of enrichment and brain training activities for mental stimulation. She can be easily startled by loud noises so would do best in a calm quieter household with structure and routine to help her settle and feel safe.
