~ Meet Missie ~

Aka: Missie Moo, Little Miss….

Sweet girl Missie arrived at SoCares with no microchip and no one called to reclaim her.

Missie was very scared when she first arrived and you could tell she wasn’t receiving the vet care she needed, as she had fly blown damage to her ears and had four mammary lumps which were caused by enlarged mammary tissue. The enlarged mammary tissue was because of hormones so Missie was desexed straight out of her impound period and is now in perfect health.

Missie is full of energy and is always looking around for something to get into. Missie loves playing with toys and her face just lights up when she sees that you have one to give her. Missie will need a family who can take her on lots of fun adventures, so she can enjoy oodles of sniffing and exploring.

We are pretty sure she would never turn down a trip to a doggy cafe for a puppycino where she can get attention from everyone and because she is such a clever young girl, she would sit and shake before she got her delicious treat.

Type of household: Missie wouldn’t be suited to a family who will leave her alone for long periods of time. Missie needs her people around her to feel secure and requires solid 6ft fencing.

Other pets: Missie is super playful with other dogs. She doesn’t understand the concept of personal space though and will get right up into another dogs face to try initiate play. Missie isn’t suited to be rehomed with timid or elderly dogs due to how excitable she plays.

When Missie met a cat she dropped down low to the ground while cautiously approaching it. When the cat hissed at her she looked for reassurance from her handler. Missie could live with a cat given a slow introduction is made and Missie is not left alone with her feline companion until they have built up a good relationship. Being only 18 months old it’s likely Missie has never met a cat before.
