About Charlie **Now Adopted**
**update 31/12/10: wonderful news! dear little charlie has finally been adopted and will be celebrating new year's eve in his forever home** dabs has found a kind foster carer who is willing to look after charlie on a temporary basis. So now he won't be confined in a cage at the vets any longer and he can enjoy the comforts of life in a real home with a real family. However, charlie is still looking for his forever home. So please, won't you consider adopting this dear little fellow and making him a permanent member of your family?
young charlie is one of dabs' most recent pound rescues and his need for a home is urgent! due to an unfortunate shortage of foster carers at dabs, the poor little fellow has had to spend his time in a cage at the same veterinary hospital where he was impounded some weeks ago. (the vet hospital acts as the local pound for this area and charlie was on death row there until dabs rescued him). There's everything to like and enjoy about this super-friendly eight month old pup. He's lively and playful and a whole lot of fun! he also gets along great with other small dogs. Charlie needs to be kept primarily as a little indoor companion but of course he would enjoy a nice escape-proof backyard to play in. (we certainly don't want charlie to go missing!) so if you're considering offering to look after this adorable little fellow for us, please just check first to make sure your fences are very secure. Thanks. Since he was impounded, charlie has been receiving treatment for a skin condition that is the result of serious neglect in his previous home. The good news is that, in a very short time, there's been a remarkable improvement in his skin. However he must continue getting weekly injections from the vet over the next three or four weeks. **please note**: the vet has assured us that charlie's skin problem is non - contagious to humans and other pets. So have no fears on that account! dabs needs to find someone who is able to commit to taking charlie back to the vet for his weekly treatments until such time as his skin condition has entirely cleared up. The hospital is located in the sydney metro area, about 9 kms from the cbd and naturally all this treatment will be at dabs' expense. If you are interested in helping charlie, please contact gabrielle on

Medical notes
See details about skin condition. Otherwise charlie is an extremely healthy pup
